Background
The Daughters of Destiny is an interdenominational forum for ladies and is aimed at bringing the best out of weak vessels. The Lord has instructed the President ‘to be a light in the land’ and this instruction, birthed this arm of the ministry. The first program of the ministry was held in Ibadan in 1997 for single ladies.
In 2000, Duaghters of Destiny moved to the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, Oyo State, Nigeria. This transformed the Daughters of Destiny’s meetings which started in 1997 to fortnight meetings. At these meetings, undergraduate ladies gather together to talk about issues that affect their lives as it relates to the word of God.
The ladies are encouraged to be the best spiritually, academically, morally, socially and health wise even though the bible calls women- the weaker vessels. Between 2000 and 2002, Daughters of Destiny held special programs for ladies in Ladoke Akintola University of Technology.
Some of these programs include a special deliverance program tagged ‘WOMAN THOU ART LOOSED’ and a program called ‘I LOVE MY SISTER’ with the aim to encourage ladies to have a giving spirit. It is usually coupled with a love feast. Daughters of Destiny have a vision to be in every higher institution in and out of Nigeria.
