THE WORD TODAY

IT IS NOT OVER YET!

There are many ups and downs, challenges, sometimes tears and pains that might have accompanied the years of your life. In spite of all, you are still STANDING! I mean you and I are alive and while there is life there is still hope. No matter how disappointing your situations might have been, there is still hope for you. It is not over yet. It may look like it is, but my dear it is not over yet. There is hope for your future.
Proverbs 23:18 this translation got my attention:
"for there is surely a future life, and what you hope for will not be cut off." (International Standard Version)
You might have started the year in excitement and nothing seem to have happened or probably your hope was raised and dashed. As we begin the second half of the year and it seems that things are beginning to work contrary to your expectations. Maybe people have questioned you on why things are not going on well in your life or you’ve become the object of ridicule and gossip. Take heart, because the year is not yet over and God will do what he said he will do. It doesn’t take God a second to bring his words into fulfillment.

For several years I waited on God for a life partner, different brothers came with their proposals but God said “NO” and because I wanted only His will for my life, I kept on waiting. The ministry that God committed into my hands started taking leaps and people began to advise me to slow down stating that no man will marry a visionary woman. Thank God for my father in the Lord who repeatedly admonished me never to reduce my pace but to keep firing on at God's pace. In his words he said "the man will meet you and will not be intimidated." At a point it became so difficult to keep faith but God’s grace sustained me.

Here is my testimony!
At the beginning of the year that I met my husband, the Lord clearly spoke to me that, I was going to meet him that year. But then I was like ‘that’s what You’ve been saying for years’ but God was emphatic in His words to me. He informed me again that my time had come and He meant it. As a manifestation of His promise, the Lord asked me to start practicing how I will dance on my wedding day and because I wouldn’t play with God's instruction, I started practicing from January when He spoke to me. I will stand in front of the small mirror in our bathroom to sing and dance. I danced from January to September. Even though some brothers came along, during that period, God said NO!

On the 1st of October that same year, I challenged God and he said two months was too much for him. I attended a dear friend’s wedding earlier that month and I remember her asking me about the same issue. Two weeks after, a brother (now my husband) contacted me and less than two weeks after that, The Lord told me that he is my husband. I had gone on a film outreach to the National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) Orientation Camp in Oyo State (South West Nigeria) courtesy of Nigerian Christian Corpers Fellowship to show a movie "Ile Ominira"(A free world). That night over a phone call, he proposed to me. He promised to see me the following week when he will return to Nigeria after obtaining his Doctorate degree in Organic Chemistry and that was the beginning of the fulfillment of God's word. We met in November, got married and relocated the following year.

Supposing I had given up on God and supposing I had stopped working for him because He had not given me a man. Let me add at this point that my husband had watched my production on YouTube and had been praying for me and the ministry before he contacted me. In fact he had added me on Facebook (social media) a long time before he contacted me privately.

Supposing I had become intimidated, jealous or envious of my peers who had gotten married before I did, how would he have located me? So my sisters, it is not over yet. There are still many months in this year and even if it remains a few days to the end of the year, God will do what He has promised. Just believe him, hold on to His words and keep praying about it. It will come to pass.
''God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Numbers 23:19(KJV)
Don't let go of that precious promise of God; whatever he says, he will do. It is not over yet!

God bless you.
